Ingredients
- 160g MILKLAB Soy
- 60g black sesame cream
- 1 shot espresso
- Finely ground black sesame (garnish)
For the black sesame cream (batch, yields ~1L)
- 250g ground black sesame
- 200g raw sugar syrup
- 400g thickened plant cream
- 190g white chocolate, melted
- 300g soy milk
- 7g charcoal powder
Method
Make the black sesame cream — Melt the white chocolate (1–2 minutes in the microwave works). Combine all cream ingredients in a blender and blend until completely smooth. Store refrigerated and use within 3 days.
- Steam the base — Add MILKLAB Soy and black sesame cream into a milk jug. Steam together until hot, smooth, and richly textured.
- Pour — Fill a cup to seven-eighths full with the steamed sesame milk.
- Add espresso — Pull one espresso shot and pour gently on top for a layered dirty latte effect.
- Finish — A pinch of finely ground black sesame to close.
